Learn by Doing

If you’re invited to join an E-Commerce Training Academy development team – you won’t be studying any theories.

At the Academy – we work on real e-commerce companies – live on the Web. If you’re professional – highly knowledgeable in your field – and are seeking ‘real world’ credentials – you’re welcome to participate.

Also means if you’re not able to conduct your professional IT business affairs in a professional - timely manner – you won’t make it at the Academy – because other IT and business professionals won’t want to work with you more than once.

When you work for (or with) companies in ‘1st World Countries’ – they have ‘performance expectations’ that you have to comply with – or they will terminate the relationship with you. Examples:

Conduct Your Business Affairs in a “Professional–Timely Manner” - means:

Never tell your Team mangers that you will have your Assignment completed at a specific day and time – unless you have it completed ‘as you represented’. A Team member may need your contribution – before they can complete their Assignment. When you waste other people’s time they won’t work with you again. Do you blame them?

Email is the major venue for communications in ‘1st World Companies’. Email is used like Pinoys use cell phone txts. If you don’t respond to your emails at a minimum of every morning and evening – no one will work with you. They’re waiting for answers – not delays or excuses.

Double-check your work before submitting it to your Team manager/client. Then have someone else check your work. Then you check a third time. If there’s something not correct – you want to find the problem – not have the client find it.

If your Team manager/client finds it – they’ll think you’re sloppy – unprofessional – maybe even a moron. But they won’t work with you. There are just too many others seeking to become successful in the e-commerce industry. People who spent hours or days on an Assignment – then don’t spend another 20 minutes to check their work before sending it – are silly and unprofessional.

 

Who Is Eligible To Participate in the E-Commerce Academy?

Currently enrolled – exceptionally skilled AMA students in their 3rd and 4th year of studies – OR - previous AMA Graduates seeking careers in E-commerce. You must be recommended by a faculty member to be considered.

Please note – Current Students: The E-commerce Training Academy is an extra-curricular activity. Means participation does not replace any of your scheduled academic work nor responsibilities. There is no tuition charge to participate. It’s a wonderful added benefit of doing your learning at AMA.
