If
you are approved to participate in the Academy – you’ll
be assigned to a specific e-commerce company. For
learning purposes, ideally it will be a new web division
of a company so you can be exposed to all the facets
and steps of developing an e-commerce company – beginning
at its Start-Up Phase.
Once you understand
the standard process and paths – they don’t
change from one e-commerce business to another. Only the
product or service – and the market size potential
- changes.
Which part
of a development team you’re assigned to - depends
on the areas of your existing skills. The Academy is for
‘do-ers’ – not students.

For example –
it wouldn’t make sense to work in the ‘Marketing
Section’ of an e-commerce company creating BLOGS
– if you have little or no previous skills in creating
and operating BLOGS. Or you wouldn’t create web
page FORMS (programming) if your area of expertise was
Graphics.
